Accused arrested in Hindupur gang-rape case

Andhra Pradesh: In a firm response, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring swift justice in the recent case of gang-rape in Satyasai district, with the accused apprehended within 48 hours.

Accused nabbed within 48 hours using technology

The minister said that the police utilized advanced technology to apprehend the accused within 48 hours. Among those arrested were three minors, and each individual had up to 30 prior criminal cases against them.

Special courts for speedy trials in crimes against women

Vangalapudi Anitha highlighted the government’s resolve to fast-track justice by transferring the case to a special court for an expedited trial. She reiterated that such cases will face no delays, with special courts being set up for offenses involving women and children.

No compromise on women’s safety

The home minister stressed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally oversees any incident related to women’s safety, ensuring that crimes against women and children are not tolerated under any circumstances.

Government’s firm stance assured

Assuring the public of the government’s firm stance, Vangalapudi Anitha noted that the case will be treated with utmost seriousness and that efforts are in place to ensure the perpetrators receive the appropriate punishment quickly.
