AP Rythu Sangham demands 90% subsidy and compensation for crop losses !!!

Kooderu – Anantapur – Andhra Pradesh:- Leaders of Andhra Pradesh Farmers’ Association, known as Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham Rashtra Samithi, submitted a memorandum to the Kooderu Mandal Tehsildar on Monday, seeking substantial support for farmers in the region. The petition, which reflects growing frustration among farmers, calls for a 90 percent subsidy on seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, alongside compensation for crop losses.

CPI Constituency Secretary Mallikarjuna, Rythu Sangh District Vice President Gopal, and Rythu Sangh Constituency Secretary Kurugunta Manohar emphasized the necessity for immediate government intervention to alleviate the financial burden on farmers. The leaders highlighted the dire need for subsidies and called for the swift distribution of essential agricultural inputs through Rythu Bharosa Kendras.

The petition also urged the government to procure cultivated crops at a minimum support price, ensuring farmers receive fair compensation for their produce. Additionally, the leaders asked for new loans to be issued to farmers, enabling them to invest in upcoming crop cycles and sustain their livelihoods.

The Rythu Sangham warned the state government of potential large-scale agitation if their demands are not met promptly. The protest leaders stressed that without immediate action, the agricultural sector in the region could face severe setbacks.

Muttala Sriramulu, Prasad, Malarayudu, and Dhanaraj joined the call for urgent measures to support the farming community and Participated in the petition submission.

The unified stand taken by the leaders reflects the growing frustration and desperation among farmers in Anantapur, who are grappling with economic pressures and unfavorable agricultural conditions and the need for comprehensive government support to ensure the sustainability of agriculture in the region.
