Dharmavaram – Andhra Pradesh: The Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) has announced its intention to mobilize large-scale movements against what it describes as the “anti-people policies” of the central and state governments. The party’s Sathya Sai District Committee held a meeting on Sunday at their office in Dharmavaram city, where RSP District Secretary Srinivasulu addressed party members and outlined the agenda for future protests.

Growing unemployment and economic challenges

During his address, District Secretary Srinivasulu criticized the central government’s policies, particularly under the BJP, for contributing to rising unemployment across India. “Since the BJP came to power, unemployment has surged to unprecedented levels, with 27.7% of the population now jobless,” Srinivasulu said, citing official statistics. He also pointed out the increasing cost of essential goods, stating that the purchasing power of the common people is diminishing rapidly.

Privatization and loss of jobs

Srinivasulu attributed the growing unemployment rate to the government’s aggressive push toward privatization. “Government institutions are being shut down, leading to the loss of lakhs of jobs. The people are being deprived of their rights, and we must fight back,” he added. The party pledged to raise awareness and organize movements to demand employment opportunities and social justice for the working class.

Agitation for special status and education reforms

In addition to addressing unemployment, the RSP plans to campaign for special status for the region, industrial development, and improvements in the education sector. “We will fight for solutions to the problems in education, industry, and job creation, step by step,” said Srinivasulu.

Fight for meaningful action

PSU State President Manjula Narendra, who also attended the meeting, echoed the same sentiments, calling for unity among the student community and the working class. “Anti-public policies need to be reversed. We will continue to agitate until the government takes meaningful action,” he said.

Other party leaders and PSU members, including Thimmakka, Sriramulu, Tippanna, Venugopal, Narasimhulu, and Venkataramana, participated in the meeting, along with Nandakishore, Sai, and Bharat from the PSU.

The meeting concluded with a call for immediate action, with plans to organize a series of protests and public meetings to press for change.
