Andhra Pradesh:- Local journalists in Giddalur have submitted a memorandum to Circle Inspector Somaiah, urging the registration of attempted murder charges against individuals who recently attacked members of the press. The journalists emphasized the need for stringent punishment to deter future assaults on media professionals.

Violence against journalists increasing in Andhra Pradesh

Similarly, in Visakhapatnam, a journalist was attacked by unidentified assailants after publishing an investigative report on local corruption. Similarly in Anantapur as well. These incidents underscore the dangerous environment journalists face in Andhra Pradesh and the urgent need for protective measures and strict legal action against perpetrators.
