Minister Savita promises to address veteran journalists’ concerns

Anantapur – Andhra Pradesh : During a meeting at Penukonda, Minister Savita assured members of the Veteran Journalist Association of Anantapur and Satya Sai Districts that she would personally bring their issues to the attention of the Chief Minister and work towards a fair resolution.

Veteran journalists’ concerns highlighted

Members of the Veteran Journalist Association, led by Anantapur Sri Sathya Sai District Association President K Babjan, presented their pressing concerns to Minister Savita. The group emphasized the need for better support and recognition of veteran journalists, including housing provisions.

Minister savita’s assurances

Minister Savita responded positively, affirming that the journalists’ concerns were valid and promising to advocate on their behalf. She assured the delegation that she would first discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and then with the Minister of Information to seek a resolution. Savita committed to working diligently to secure justice for the veteran journalists.

Also, the Minister pledged to take up the issue of housing for veteran journalists with the Information Minister, ensuring that efforts would be made to address and solve the housing problem.

The meeting saw participation from association members, including General Secretary Jayaram Reddy, Treasurer Bavi Shetty, and other members D Anjappa, Parigi Narayana, Lingaprasad, Ananda Vardhan, and several others. Their collective efforts were aimed at ensuring better welfare for veteran journalists in the region.
