Chiranjeevi responds to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s call for Gaddar Awards

Telangana: In a heartfelt response to Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy’s appeal, megastar and Padma Vibhushan awardee Chiranjeevi has expressed his gratitude for the decision to establish awards in the name of Gaddar, a revered public speaker, singer and dedicated activist. Chiranjeevi thanked the Chief Minister for this appropriate recognition, emphasizing the significance of honoring Gaddar’s legacy. Chiranjeevi’s response came during a recent event celebrating the Padma Awards 2024.8

Chiranjeevit through a post on X, urged the Film Chamber and Producer Council to take responsibility for advancing this proposal on behalf of the Telugu film industry. Gaddar Abhimaanula Sangham also expressed their appreciation for this act. Their support underscores the widespread respect for Gaddar’s contributions.8

The Gaddar Abhimaanula Sangham (Gaddar Fan Association) has put forth a specific request regarding the scope of the Gaddar Awards. They advocate for the awards to recognize not only contributions within the film industry but also efforts in public movements and political leadership. The association emphasizes that the awards should honour political leaders who work collaboratively with the people to address and resolve societal issues. They appeal for the implementation of this proposal within the current year.8
