In his keynote address, Rijiju echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sentiments, stating, “Only when benevolence and compassion, as taught by Buddha, are embraced, can a nation become a global leader. Without these values, the world faces conflict rather than peace.” He urged for more efforts to promote Buddha’s values, especially in Maharashtra, which has a substantial Buddhist community.
