Andhra Pradesh:- Non-political student associations, under the Joint Action Committee (JAC), have demanded the immediate release of pending mess bills for BC hostels, which have been overdue for seven months across the state.

The students also called for an increase in mess charges in line with rising prices, the reinstatement of cosmetic charges, and the filling of vacant warden positions, along with senior promotions for existing wardens.

On Wednesday, the JAC leaders, including Ramineni Rajunaidu, Bandela Obules, Shaikh Riaz, Katti Obulesu, Jayaraju, and Nellore Venkat, submitted a memorandum outlining these issues to BC Welfare Additional Director Chandrasekhar Raju at the State BC Welfare office in Vijayawada.
