PM Modi launches ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ to drive India’s development

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week, emphasizing the creation of future-ready civil servants to drive India’s development. He highlighted the importance of combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Aspirational India for transformative change.
Mission Karmayogi’s role in India’s growth
Speaking at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi underlined that Mission Karmayogi aims to develop human resources as a driving force for India’s progress. The initiative focuses on creating a civil service equipped to meet the nation’s development goals, including Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Technological advancements and civil services
Modi emphasized the importance of balancing AI and Aspirational India, describing both as opportunities for transformative growth. He also noted that the digital revolution has led to information equality, empowering citizens to monitor government activities, and urged civil servants to stay updated with technological advancements.
Emphasis on citizen-centric approach and feedback
The Prime Minister stressed the need for innovative thinking and a citizen-centric approach, urging government departments to adopt feedback mechanisms and seek input from startups, research agencies, and the youth for new ideas.
iGOT platform success
Modi praised the iGOT platform, with over 40 lakh government employees registered and more than 1.5 crore certificates of course completion awarded. He encouraged increased collaboration among civil service training institutions and the adoption of global best practices.
