SFI, UTF call upon students to build a science-based society against superstitions !!!

Andhra Pradesh:- In a significant move to combat superstitions and promote scientific thinking, the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the United Teachers Federation (UTF) have called upon students to participate in an awareness program aimed at fostering a science-based society. The event will take place at the UTF district office in Prakasam Street, Amalapuram on July 21.

District presidents and secretaries of both unions, SFI’s K Shankar and UTF’s MTB Subbarao and P Venkateswara Rao, announced the initiative in a joint statement. They emphasized the importance of moving beyond superstitions and focusing on scientific education in subjects such as Science, Mathematics, and English. The program aims to instill a sense of progress and rational thinking among students.

Various engaging activities, including a series of contests designed to showcase student talents, will be conducted. Additionally, a captivating magic show by magician Sam is set to entertain and educate participants about the principles of science versus superstition.

Students from numerous schools and colleges across the district are expected to participate in the program. SFI state leader Rammohan will attend as the chief guest, lending his support and emphasizing the critical role of young minds in fostering a rational and scientifically informed society.

This initiative reflects a broader effort to eradicate superstitions that hinder societal progress and encourages a commitment to scientific inquiry and rational thought.
