YS Jagan urges YSR Congress to become strongest party in India

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu:Bureau Chief

Andhra Pradesh: At a state-level workshop held at the YSR Congress Party headquarters on Thursday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party’s Supremo, called on leaders and cadre to strengthen the party’s organizational structure from the grassroots level, positioning it to become the strongest political force in the country. He outlined steps for fortifying the party’s presence while emphasizing the contrast between his administration’s accomplishments and the failures of the current government.

Organized growth is key to success

YS Jagan stressed that the party must move forward in an organized manner to deliver effective results. He emphasized that strengthening the party’s structure at the village, mandal, and district levels is crucial for its success in future elections. “We need to be organized at every level, from the state to the grassroots, in order to respond effectively whenever elections come,” he remarked.

Building strong committees

Jagan highlighted the need for forming robust committees at every level, from the state to village, ensuring that they are not mere formalities but play active roles in the party’s functioning. He called for the inclusion of youth, women, and students in the party’s activities, ensuring greater participation. “Our aim is to build the strongest party in the country by focusing on structured committees and prioritizing women in leadership roles,” he said.

Connecting with the people

Acknowledging the importance of staying connected with the electorate, Jagan emphasized the need for the party to respond actively to public issues at every level, from village to district. “We must stand by the victims and respond to injustices. If we don’t, the issues will be forgotten, and justice will not be served,” he asserted.

Achievements of YSRCP administration

Jagan took pride in his government’s achievements during his tenure, noting that the YSR Congress Party had implemented welfare schemes directly, without middlemen, fulfilling election manifesto promises. He compared this with the current government’s inability to deliver on its promises, stating, “Our credibility and values will bring us back to power, while the present administration runs without fulfilling even basic promises.”

Failures of the current government

Jagan didn’t hold back in his criticism of the present government, citing the pending Rs 2,400 crore Arogyasree bills and the failure of health and education systems. He lamented the decline in law and order, pointing out the increase in crimes against women and children. “The government’s inefficiency is visible in every sector. Farmers haven’t received investment assistance, RBKs are weakened, and basic public services have collapsed,” he added.

Mobilizing through social media

Jagan also urged the party cadre to utilize social media effectively to counter false narratives and spread the party’s message. “We are not just fighting Chandrababu; we are battling a broken system and false propaganda from TDP-aligned media. Every village-level leader should be active on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram,” he directed.

Promotions based on performance

In an inspiring note, Jagan assured district presidents and committee leaders that their performance would determine their future roles within the party. “Work hard, and your efforts will be recognized. Promotions will be based on merit, and I am committed to ensuring deserving leaders find their place in the cabinet,” he promised.

Strength through struggle

Reflecting on his personal journey, Jagan shared his experience of spending 16 months in jail and the hardships he endured, underscoring that struggle is part of growth. “After darkness comes light. I became the Chief Minister after enduring tremendous persecution, and I believe our party will emerge stronger in the face of adversity,” he concluded.
