Asansol : To review the performance of Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division and to motivate the officers and staff at different levels of the Division in achieving even better maintenance of Railway services in different fields of activities, Shri Milind K Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway visited Asansol Division along with the nominated Principal Head of the Department from Headquarters today (09.04.2024). Shri Chetna Nand Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Asansol and other Divisional officers of Asansol Division accompanied General Manager in his inspection.
Shri Milind K Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway conducted window trailing inspection between Barddhaman – Andal section to see the condition of track and its surrounding, installations like signals, Over Head Equipment (OHE) etc. During the Inspection, important parameters like cleanliness and overall condition of stations falling en- route, riding quality of the train-especially on points and crossings, improvement in track geometry Index (TGT) condition of level crossing gates en-route etc. were observed by Shri Deouskar.
Shri Deouskar, also inspected overall cleanliness, Safety aspects and passengers’ amenities at Andal station. After that, he inspected Train Examiner Point (TXR) and Routine Over Hauling ( ROH) Depot, Marshalling Yard at BOXN Depot, Andal. GM/ER also discussed about Rail Over Rail (ROR) (Bridge) with the Officers and concerned staff. Shri Deouskar also inspected the work progress & redevelopment of Andal Station under Amrit Station Scheme and gave his valuable guidance.
Shri Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway conducted window trailing inspection between Andal – Sitarampur Section via Topsi – Baraboni Line. He inspected Sitarampur station and interacted with the staff & officers and gave his valuable guidance regarding redevelopment of Sitarampur station under Amrit Station Scheme. Shri Deouskar also inspected Bypass and Dedicated Freight Corridor alignment at Sitarampur Station.
Shri Milind K Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway also holds a review meeting at New Conference Room, Asansol with the Divisional Officers in presence of Divisional Railway Manager, Asansol and discussed various operational and safety related issues, redevelopment of Asansol Station and the modus operandi to increase loading performance of the Division. He also reviewed the Key Performance Index (KPI) of Asansol Division where last year’s achievements were presented and target for current financial year & route map for achieving the target were presented through PPT.
