Dhanshristi Organizes Two-Day JLG Leader Training Program in Dhanbad

Dhanbad Dhanshristi Bhavishya Nidhi Trust organized a two-day JLG (Joint Liability Group) Leader Training Program in Dhanbad on November 14, 2025. The program was conducted to strengthen leadership skills among group leaders and promote effective implementation of financial inclusion activities at the community level. A total of 20 members participated in the training session.

The initiative was part of the trust’s ongoing efforts to empower communities through microfinance awareness and group-based financial development programs.

Focus on Leadership and Financial Inclusion

During the training, participants were educated about the functioning and responsibilities of Joint Liability Groups (JLGs). Trainers explained how group-based financial systems can help economically weaker individuals gain access to banking services, savings opportunities, and responsible credit facilities.

The session emphasized the importance of discipline, regular meetings, teamwork, and transparent financial practices within JLG groups.

Capacity Building and Skill Development

Participants received guidance on leadership development, communication skills, member coordination, and financial management. The training aimed to improve the ability of JLG leaders to manage their groups effectively and support community-level financial activities.

An interactive discussion and question-answer session was also conducted during the program. Participants raised questions related to group operations, savings practices, loan management, and leadership responsibilities.

The experts and coordinators addressed their concerns and provided practical suggestions to improve group functioning and financial discipline.

Tea and Snacks for Participants

As part of the hospitality arrangements, Dhanshristi Bhavishya Nidhi Trust provided tea and snacks to all 20 participants during the training program. This helped create a comfortable and engaging learning environment for the members.
