RCP demands job security for RIMS workers amid dismissal threat
By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) State Secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy has urged authorities to protect the jobs of workers at Kadapa’s RIMS Sarvajana Hospital, warning that dismissing hardworking employees would endanger their livelihoods and families.
Workers credited for hospital’s clean image
Speaking after meeting the RIMS Superintendent on Thursday, Ravi Shankar Reddy commended the hospital staff, stating that RIMS has earned recognition as one of the cleanest district central hospitals in the state due to their efforts. He stressed that these employees should not be dismissed under any circumstances.
Allegations against contractor and irregularities
The RCP leader alleged that a newly appointed contractor at RIMS was exercising undue authority even before the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), including interference in staff dismissals and new appointments. He warned that such actions were unfair and reflected poorly on hospital management.
Call for accountability and action
Ravi Shankar Reddy criticized the inaction against individuals who allegedly defrauded poor citizens by promising pensions and misappropriating large sums of money. He demanded that authorities take action against those truly responsible rather than targeting sincere workers.
Need for doctors and medical equipment
Highlighting the hospital’s staff shortage, Reddy emphasized the urgent need to fill vacancies for doctors and ensure adequate medical equipment. He stated that patients from across Kadapa district should be able to access quality treatment locally without having to travel elsewhere.
Future course of action
Reddy said that he would bring these issues to the notice of the district collector and the state health minister. RTU State Secretary Siddaramaiah and RCP leaders Vijay Kumar, Ramesh Babu, and others participated in the meeting.
