Damaged roads in Sivanandapuram create hurdles for thousands

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: The Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) leaders have demanded that authorities immediately lay a permanent cement concrete (CC) road in Sivanandapuram, warning that the existing pothole-ridden stretch has turned into a serious hurdle for thousands of commuters.*

Main road in shambles

On Sunday, a team of RCP leaders led by area in-charge Vijayakumar visited the Sivanandapuram road in the 15th Division. RCP City Executive Member Madagalam Prasad said the road’s poor state was disrupting daily movement and called for urgent repairs and a CC road.

Traffic, Registrar’s office add to chaos

Hundreds of vehicles and thousands of pedestrians travel on this key road every day. With the Registrar’s office located along the stretch, the number of commuters has risen sharply, worsening the problem.

RCP’s long-standing demand

Prasad pointed out that the RCP had been pressing for road development in Sivanandapuram for years, including road blockade protests on RIMS Road in the past. He criticized the government and officials for failing to resolve the issue.

Local residents and activists including Seenu, Sanna, Kiriti, Subbarayudu, Bulugu Srinu, and Sai participated in the program and extended their support to the RCP’s demand.
