Rajampet – Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) State Executive Committee Member Madagalam Prasad urged authorities to provide essential infrastructure in Jagananna Colony at Boyanpally in Rajampet, citing it as the primary reason for poor occupancy despite large-scale housing construction.
Petition submitted to Sub-Collector’s office
During the Grievance Cell program held at the Rajampet Sub-Collector’s office, Madagalam Prasad submitted a formal petition to the Administrative Officer (AO). He appealed for urgent provision of basic civic infrastructure such as roads, canals, drinking water pipelines, and street lights in the newly developed Jagananna Colony.
Residents reluctant due to poor infrastructure
Prasad highlighted that although many houses are under construction in the colony, people are hesitant to move in due to the absence of essential services. He emphasized that families are struggling to consider relocation without proper roads or water facilities.
Call for government intervention
The RCP leader appealed to the state government and district administration to address the issue promptly. He said that fulfilling these basic needs would attract a larger population to settle in the colony and make the housing scheme truly effective.
Local activist Ramana and other community members joined Prasad during the grievance program to support the demand for improved infrastructure in the colony.
