TVYS Chief Petitions Telangana CM Alleging Conspiracy to Block WhatsApp Numbers
Gavvala Srikanth claims targeted reporting violates constitutional rights, seeks SC/ST Atrocity cases against those responsible

Hyderabad: Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu – Assistant Chief Editor: Telangana SC, ST, BC, Minority Students Youth Association (TVYS) State President Gavvala Srikanth has petitioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat, alleging that his WhatsApp numbers – 9492744055 and 9989282108 – are being deliberately blocked through mass reporting to suppress his social and political activities.
Complaint of targeted blocking
In his representation, Srikanth alleged that unidentified persons, unable to digest his extensive campaign as an MLC candidate from erstwhile Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak districts, are reporting his accounts to WhatsApp to block them, causing mental distress and obstructing his organizational work.
Demand for action
He urged the CM to direct WhatsApp management to identify those responsible and sought stringent action. He demanded that if the accused belong to non-SC/ST upper castes, SC/ST Atrocity cases be booked, and if SC/STs are involved, criminal cases be filed. He also demanded removal of the ‘Report’ option from social media or restricting it to police.
Warning of further move
Srikanth, resident of Devuniguda, Jannaram mandal, Mancherial district, said if the complaint is kept pending, he will approach the SC/ST Commission and National Human Rights Commission.
