AIKMS demands justice for irregularities in land resurvey in Kalagatla

Kalagatla – Andhra Pradesh: In a meeting held on Thursday in Kalagatla village, farmers urged the government to address alleged irregularities in a recent land resurvey, claiming they have been unfairly impacted by flawed survey practices. The memorandum, submitted to the Deputy Tahsildar under the Akhila Bharatha Rythucoolie Sangham (AIKMS), called for immediate corrective action to support affected farmers.
Claims of manipulation in previous land resurvey
M Sathyanna and S Balaraju, district leaders of AIKMS, voiced serious concerns during the gramasabha, alleging that farmers were manipulated in the land resurvey conducted by the prior administration. They emphasized the importance of an accurate land resurvey to ensure fair outcomes for farmers.
Demand for immediate justice
The association representatives demanded that the government immediately rectify the survey errors and provide justice to the aggrieved farmers. The petition called for transparency and accountability in land surveys to prevent future discrepancies.
Support from farmer leaders and local representatives
IFTU Town Secretary S Babu, along with farmer representatives N Mallikarjuna, Hanumantha Rao, Rangaswamy, Pedda Narasimhulu, and Rajasekhar Goud, attended the meeting, reinforcing the need for collective action and immediate government intervention to protect farmers’ rights and livelihoods in the area.
