Chittoor BSI pays tribute to Buddhist leader Armstrong Bodhi !!!

Andhra Pradesh:- On Sunday evening, under the auspices of the Bharatiya Buddhist Mahasabha – Chittoor District, a heartfelt tribute was paid at the Dargah Circle Ambedkar statue to Upasaka Armstrong Bodhi, the “Roaring Dharma Lion of Tamil Nadu,” who was tragically murdered by a rowdy gang at his home in Chennai.
Honorary President Munuswamy led the tribute, highlighting Armstrong Bodhi’s significant contributions to the spread of Buddhism and his dedication to educating students from the poor and downtrodden communities at his own expense. Munuswamy emphasized that Armstrong’s tireless efforts were instrumental in building a knowledgeable society, and his untimely death is a profound loss.
After lighting candles and observing a moment of silence, Somaraju praised Armstrong Bodhi for his selfless service and unwavering commitment to social justice and education. Armstrong’s legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and dedication to the betterment of society through the teachings of Buddhism.
The event was attended by prominent members of the Buddhist community, including Srirangampally Munuswamy, President Somaraju, General Secretary Chitti Babu, Vice President Parthasarathy, Upasaka Dhananjaya Rao, Upasaka Sudhan Kumar, Upasaka Vijay, Upasaka Munikumar, Upasaka Satish, Upasaka Shyam Vijay Charan, and Upasaka Settu. Their collective presence underscored the deep respect and admiration for Armstrong Bodhi’s enduring impact on their lives and the broader community.
