Ethakota High School HM Krishna Reddy to receive top award in ‘Fellow Teacher’

Andhra Pradesh: KSV Krishna Reddy, Headmaster of Ethakota High School in Ravulapalem Mandal, has been selected for the prestigious State Best Teacher Award in Andhra Pradesh. Chosen in the ‘Fellow Teacher’ category, this award recognizes educators who have made significant contributions without previously applying for awards. The Education Department announced this honour on Saturday.

A career dedicated to educational advancement

Krishna Reddy, a seasoned social science educator and textbook author, has devoted his career to advancing education. As an author, translator, and editor, he has contributed to the development of social science textbooks for grades 6 to 10 and open school programs. Reddy’s initiatives have also included audio lessons for open school students and contributions as an educational columnist for major dailies.

Guiding teachers and supporting students

A State Resource Person in Social Science for the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Research Training Institute, Reddy has developed multiple teacher training modules and led awareness sessions on new teaching methods and materials. He was instrumental in establishing the ‘Andhra Pradesh Social Science Teacher Forum,’ which provides resources to teachers and students alike.
