Collector Shukla ensures robust arrangements for vote counting !!!

Dr. B R Ambedkar Konaseema District – Andhra Pradesh:- District Election Officer Himanshu Shukla announced that the counting of votes will take place on June 4 at Srinivasa Engineering College, following Election Commission guidelines.

Shukla, along with the district administration, inspected the arrangements at the vote counting centers, covering seven assembly constituencies and the parliament segment in Cheyeyeru village of Katrenikona Mandal. He emphasized that postal ballots will be counted first, followed by EVMs after a 30-minute interval.

Key measures include:

– Strict coordination: Counting supervisors, assistants, and micro-observers will work in full coordination.
– Security measures: Section 144 is imposed to prevent disturbances; sale of liquor, firecrackers, and ammunition is banned.


– Restricted access: Only authorized personnel and candidates or their agents with appointment letters are allowed near the counting premises.
– No celebrations: No victory rallies or celebrations are permitted within the counting center premises until results are declared.
– Electronic devices prohibited: No electronic devices, including mobile phones and cameras, are allowed in the counting centers.

– Surveillance: CC cameras have been installed to monitor the process.
– Media center: A media center is set up for the convenience of print and electronic media representatives.

District officials, including SPS Sridhar, Joint Collector S Nupur Ajay, and Revenue Officer M Venkateswarlu, participated in the inspection. Shukla assured that the counting process will be conducted with speed, accuracy, and transparency, ensuring a smooth and peaceful conclusion.
