Haryana assembly polls conclude peacefully with 61.19% voter turnout

Haryana: The single-phase polling for 90 Assembly Constituencies in Haryana concluded peacefully, with a voter turnout of 61.19% recorded as of 7 PM, and minor stray incidents of scuffles reported. A total of 1031 candidates, including 101 women, contested the 90 assembly seats.
The elderly and differently-abled voters showed enthusiasm, with many above 100 years old exercising their franchise. In a crackdown on electoral malpractices, the ECI seized Rs. 75.72 crores worth of cash, liquor, and drugs, marking a four-fold increase from 2019.To ensure free and fair polls, 97 Central Observers were deployed, and webcasting was conducted in all polling stations.

Counting and results
Counting of votes for Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir assembly elections is scheduled on October 8.
