Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Acting on directives from District SP V Harshvardhan Raju, women Sub-Inspectors (SIs) and female police personnel conducted inspections at 13 private and working women’s hostels in Kadapa city on Tuesday evening. The initiative aims to address the safety and well-being of female students and working women residing in these hostels.

During their visits, SIs Jyoti, Lakshmi, Shanthamma, Haimavathi, Nasreen, and other female police personnel interacted with women who had travelled from distant regions to pursue higher education or employment in Kadapa. They inquired about the challenges faced by the hostel residents and assured them that the police would be available around the clock to address any issues arising in their colleges or workplaces.

The heightened security measures follow a recent incident in Kolkata, prompting local authorities to take proactive steps to ensure the safety of women in the district.
