Promoting social welfare through schemes
The Telangana government introduced the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged families. The Kalyana Lakshmi scheme aims to support the marriage expenses of girls from below-poverty-line families, while Shadi Mubarak is focused on helping with the marriage costs of those facing financial difficulties. These initiatives are part of the state’s broader efforts to promote social welfare and reduce financial burdens associated with marriages in underprivileged communities.
Commitment to marginalized communities
Revanth Redd’s government emphasizes that these initiatives are crucial for empowering economically weaker sections and providing them with the necessary support to celebrate significant life events without financial strain. Reddy’s advocacy underscores a broader vision of ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach those who need them most, reinforcing his government’s dedication to social justice and community upliftment.
