Telangana:- Sheikh Mahmood Pasha, headmaster of MPPS Jakaram School in Allapalli Mandal’s Nadimigudem panchayat, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, has embarked on a unique and determined 108-day protest to advocate for the reinstatement of the old pension scheme (OPS) for CPS employees and teachers across Telangana state.

Pasha’s protest, which began on July 1, has garnered widespread support from various public organizations and communities. The protest is structured in a distinctive manner, with specific dietary phases marking the progression of the 108 days.

For the first 25 days, Pasha consumed morning breakfast, an afternoon meal, and fruits for dinner. As the protest enters its next phase, from day 26 to day 50, he will restrict his intake to fruits for breakfast, lunch, and fruits for dinner. In the final 58 days, from day 51 to day 108, Pasha will sustain himself solely on fruits

Pasha’s dedication to this cause stems from a belief that every CPS employee and teacher deserves to retire with dignity and respect. He asserts that the restoration of the old pension scheme is crucial to achieving this goal. Pasha’s innovative protest aims to draw attention to the plight of CPS employees and to urge Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take positive action within the 108 days of his Deeksha.

As the protest reached its 25th day on Thursday, Pasha expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community. He emphasized the importance of this movement, not just for himself, but for every CPS employee and teacher in Telangana state.
