TPJU to stage one-day protest against attacks on reporters !!!

Mahabubabada – Telangana: The Telangana Pradesh Journalists Union (TPJU) has announced a one-day protest to be held on June 10, led by State President D Y Giri.

This demonstration aims to condemn the recent attacks on journalists in Mahabubabad district and the subsequent inaction shown by police officials.

Over the past two months, three separate incidents of violence against journalists have been reported in Mahabubabad. In one severe case, a journalist was brutally beaten by the police, resulting in broken hands, yet no action has been taken.

The protest will take place at Dr. B R Ambedkar, Martyrs’ Pillar (Stupam) at the local court in the Mahabubabad district center. The event, organized by the TPJU, is scheduled to begin at 10 am.

TPJU General Secretary M. Sivashankar has appealed in a note to all journalist associations, public activists, political leaders, poets, and artists to join and support this cause, urging them to stand in solidarity with the affected journalists and demand justice.
