AP launches entrepreneur platforms to boost MSMEs and jobs

Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Minister for MSME and NRI Affairs, Kondapalli Srinivas, inaugurated a series of initiatives under the “Swarna Andhra Pradesh” vision in Tirupati on Saturday, aiming to create an entrepreneurial movement across the state and strengthen the MSME sector as a key driver of growth and employment.

CII and government partner for entrepreneurial excellence

In a collaborative effort with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Minister launched the CII Entrepreneur Excellence Program, the CII Andhra Pradesh Entrepreneur Development Platform, and the CII Tirupati Entrepreneur Development Platform. CII Tirupati Chairman O Jagannath Anirudh welcomed the dignitaries and called the program a visionary step forward for fostering innovation and enterprise.

“One Family, One Entrepreneur” initiative highlighted

In his address, Minister Kondapalli Srinivas emphasized the state’s flagship mission “One Family, One Entrepreneur,” aimed at cultivating entrepreneurship in every household. He described the initiative as vital for MSME-led growth, innovation, and employment generation, aligning with the state’s broader self-reliance goals.

MSME parks to power industrial growth

Under Phase 1 of the MSME infrastructure expansion, Chief Minister inaugurated MSME parks and flatted factory complexes in 11 constituencies and laid foundation stones in 39 others, including Atmakur Mandal, Narempeta, SPSR Nellore District. The long-term vision, Swarna Andhra@2047, aims for a 2.4 trillion economy by sustaining over 15% annual growth, with at least one MSME park per constituency featuring plug-and-play infrastructure, roads, power, training, and cost-reduction facilities.

Tirupati’s MSME strength: 2.5 lakh jobs

District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar highlighted Tirupati’s unique MSME landscape, noting that the district has over 15,000 MSMEs generating 2.5 lakh jobs, exceeding employment from large-scale industries. He also pointed to similar potential in Anakapalle and Vizag.

National employment needs aligned with Andhra’s strategy

CII Andhra Pradesh Vice Chairman S Narendra Kumar stated that India needs to create 7.85 million non-farm jobs annually by 2030. He underlined that microenterprises are the engines of employment in vibrant economies and praised Andhra Pradesh’s mass entrepreneurship focus for aligning with these national goals.

Swarna Andhra Pradesh” project launched

As part of the CEL initiative, the project titled “Abhivruddhipathamllo Swarna Andhra Pradesh” (A New Journey Towards Development) was formally launched with support from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Volvo Group Trust, further institutionalizing the push toward inclusive growth through entrepreneurship.

Former CII AP Chairman Vijay Naidu Galla and CII Tirupati Vice Chairman SP Rajendran also addressed the gathering, reinforcing CII’s commitment to supporting Andhra Pradesh’s entrepreneurial transformation.
