Bhopal, Area Correspondent: : The Indian Social Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT) has proposed a one-day Animal Care and Food Support Programme in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, for September 2026. The initiative aims to support stray and community animals by providing suitable food, clean drinking water, and assistance in accessing basic veterinary care when required.
The proposed programme seeks to address the difficulties faced by stray and community animals in finding adequate food and safe drinking water. Through this initiative, INSIGHT aims to promote humane animal care and encourage responsible community participation in animal welfare.
As part of the proposed activities, the organization’s team and local volunteers will identify suitable feeding locations in coordination with animal feeders and animal-welfare volunteers. Appropriate animal food will be distributed in a safe and hygienic manner, while clean drinking water will be provided wherever practical and safe.
The programme will also focus on identifying animals that may require medical attention. Where necessary and feasible, the team will help connect sick or injured animals with qualified veterinary professionals. The organization plans to follow responsible animal-care practices and ensure that medicines are administered only under appropriate veterinary guidance.
INSIGHT also aims to raise awareness about the importance of compassion towards animals and the role communities can play in protecting their welfare. Basic records of food distribution, veterinary referrals, and programme expenses will be maintained to promote transparency and accountability.
