Left parties hold massive rally in Kurnool opposing PM’s visit

Kurnool – Andhra Pradesh: Left parties organized a massive rally in Kurnool city on Wednesday, voicing strong opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Kurnool district on the 16th of this month. The rally witnessed participation from leaders of various Left organizations, student groups, and workers’ unions.

The rally, held under the joint aegis of Left parties, drew large crowds as leaders criticized the central government’s policies and expressed their dissent over the Prime Minister’s visit. They alleged that the Centre has failed to address key issues affecting the poor, farmers, and working-class sections.

Leaders’ speeches and participation

Speaking at the rally, CPM State Secretary V Srinivasa Rao, CPI District Secretary Giddayya, CPI(ML) New Democracy District Secretary K Nagaraju, CPI(ML) Liberation State Leader P Venkateswarlu, CPI(ML) New Democracy District Secretary Mallikarjuna, and SUCI State Leaders addressed the gathering.

They emphasized the need for collective resistance against anti-people policies and called upon the public to join future movements for social and economic justice.

Support from student and workers’ unions

PDSU State President SMD Rafi, AIKMS District Secretary M Sathyanna, IFTU District leaders S Balaraju and Chennakeshavulu, PDSU District leaders K Somashekar and Marriswamy, along with several farmers’ and labour union representatives, extended their solidarity to the protest.

The rally concluded with a call to intensify the agitation ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
