Yemmiganur – Andhra Pradesh: CPI (ML) New Democracy district leaders, led by M. Satyanna, demanded that authorities provide basic facilities at the Yemmiganur town sub-register office, citing severe inadequacies affecting visitors. The protest took place outside the office on Tuesday, drawing attention to the need for infrastructural improvements to support the public.
Demands for drinking water and seating
M Satyanna, addressing the gathering, highlighted the lack of fundamental amenities such as drinking water and chairs. He noted that, despite the government’s directive to provide facilities at public offices, these needs remain unmet at the sub-register office, where visitors endure discomfort during extended waits.
Call for restroom construction
The protest also stressed the necessity for restrooms at the site. According to Satyanna, constructing toilets near the office would be a significant improvement for the many residents accessing services daily.
Parking space shortage
With limited parking options, visitors are forced to park on main roads, causing congestion and safety issues. CPI (ML) leaders urged district officials to allocate parking space within the sub-register office premises to alleviate these problems and improve accessibility.
Immediate action urged by leaders
IFTU and AIKMS representatives, including S Balaraju, Babu, Raju, Anji, Ellappa, Manoj, Dinakar, Bhaskar, Khaja, Ramudu and others, joined the protest, collectively urging district officials to respond swiftly and fulfill these requests. The leaders emphasized that addressing these concerns would provide a more accommodating environment for Yemmiganur’s public.
