Awareness conference calls for progressive ideology and community building !!!

Andhra Pradesh:- Under the auspices of the Students Federation of India (SFI), the United Teachers Federation (UTF) organized a student awareness program at the local UTF District Office on Sunday in Amalapuram. Several speakers emphasized the importance of student participation in societal development and the adoption of progressive ideologies to build a science-based society.

Central government policies criticized

Rammohan, State Vice President of SFI, criticized the central BJP government for promoting superstitions and fanatical ideologies among students through the saffronization of education. He highlighted that SFI, since its inception in 1970, has been fighting against anti-education policies of central and state governments. He urged all students to participate in SFI to counter these policies.

Concerns over NEET paper leaks and corporate colleges

Rammohan addressed the issue of NEET paper leakages, which have jeopardized the future of thousands of students nationwide. He also criticized corporate colleges for charging exorbitant fees and called for measures to control these practices. He also pointed out the dire conditions in welfare hostels, many of which lack basic amenities like drinking water. He warned the government that SFI would submit a report to the district collector on these issues.

The program was presided over by UTF District General Secretary MTV Subbarao, UTF District President Penke Venkateswara Rao, and SFI District Convener K Shankar. During the awareness program, sessions were held on Science, Mathematics, and English. K Ganeswara Rao and R Venkateswara Rao provided insights and raised awareness among students on Mathematics and English, respectively.

Special attraction: Science through magic

Chinta Shyam Kumar, a magician, stood as a special attraction. Through his magic performances, he demonstrated how science is applicable in real life, engaging and educating the audience.

Election of new committee

In a general body meeting held later, the new district executive committee of SFI was elected. Prem Kumar was chosen as the district convener, with Shashi and Satya Prasad as co-conveners, including other 20 members.

Leaders of various associations Gangaratnam, Satya Venkat Lakshmi, Nagalakshmi Polamuri, Srinivasa Rao, Tadi Srirammurthy, Bhimasa Srinu, T Mohanarao, BN Venkateswara Rao, and BN Shivakumar participated in this program.

The event highlighted the crucial role students play in community building and the need for progressive and science-based ideologies to shape a better society.
