Andhra Pradesh-Telangana:- Mala Mahanadu has condemned the recent surge in attacks on Dalits in the Telugu states. Since last month, incidents have notably increased, particularly in Telangana, where a 12-year-old boy was attacked and seriously injured by upper caste individuals. Despite the severity of the attack, no action has been taken so far.
In a press conference today, Mala Mahanadu State General Secretary Narasappa with other two leaders, strongly denounced these attacks and demanded that the Telangana Deputy Chief Minister take appropriate measures to provide protection for Dalits. He highlighted the growing violence against Dalit women in the region, citing the incidents in Kolhapur and Veldurthi as evidence.
Narasappa accused those responsible for legal enforcement of indirectly aiding the attackers by offering excuses instead of taking action. He emphasized that Mala Mahanadu will immediately respond to any attack on Dalits and stand by the victims.
Mala Mahanadu has pledged to collaborate with Dalit JAC leaders in both Telugu states to intensify their movement, ensuring justice for the victims and the punishment of the perpetrators according to the law.
