Manaskhand Yatra By Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train To Be Originated From Howrah Station

Kolkata:- As a part of Indian Railways’ initiative for providing tourist circuit train originating from West Bengal for a tour to Uttarakhand region opening access to the areas having spiritual and cultural richness, a Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train in association with Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board will start from Howrah named as “Manaskhand Yatra Ex Kolkata” by Bharat Gaurav Special Train. This Bharat Gaurav tourist Special Train for Manaskhand Yatra will originate from Howrah station on 05.06.2024 covering different destinations of Uttarakhand.
In a press meet today held at Kolkata in presence of Shri Zafar Aazam, Group General Manager/IRCTC, Shri Kausik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer/Eastern Railway, Shri Anwar Karim, Additional General Manager/IRCTC & Shri Rajendra Borban, Joint General Manager (Tourism)/IRCTC, the features of the package tour for Manaskhand Yatra organised by IRCTC was explained as all-in-one package inclusive of everything from transport, fooding, lodging, site seeing, alongwith provision of guides etc.
This initiative is geared towards travel enthusiasts in Eastern India, offering them the opportunity to discover the hidden gems of Uttarakhand, promising experiences that will be cherished for years to come. The Special Tourist Train will encompass a comprehensive itinerary covering Almora, Bhimtal, Champawat/Lohaghat, Chaukori, Nainital and Tanakpur. Commencing from Howrah, the pilgrimage and heritage odyssey will unfold over 10 nights and 11 days. Passenger boarding and de boarding facilities have been strategically arranged at the following stations: Howrah, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Jasidih, Barauni, Hazipur, Siwan, Chapra and Gorakhpur. This thoughtfully crafted journey assures travellers a seamless fusion of spiritual enrichment and cultural immersion, presenting them with the chance to embark on an exploration of Uttrakhand’s untouched destinations.
The IRCTC package offers a comfortable train journey in 3 tier AC class, with accommodation and facilities for washing and changing provided in hotels or home stays. Transfers sightseeing will be facilitated by Non-Ac buses, ensuring a seamless travel experience. A standard Vegetarian Menu will be adhered to for the entirety of the journey. In addition to these services, the Train will be equipped with professional tour Escorts, Housekeeping staff, unarmed security personnel, Surveillance cameras, a PA system and Travel insurance coverage.
