Student Body Calls for July 24 Educational Institutions’ Bandh over Exam Paper Leaks

Hyderabad, Telangana: The Telangana SC, ST, BC and Minority Student and Youth Association has called upon students to make the educational institutions’ bandh on July 24 a success, protesting the alleged police lathi-charge on students demonstrating against exam paper leaks and demanding accountability for irregularities in the country’s examination system.

Alleges 152 paper leaks in 12 years

Addressing the media, State President Gavvala Srikanth and State General Secretary Kota Shivashankar alleged that 152 examination paper leaks had occurred during the BJP’s 12-year tenure at the Centre. They claimed that no effective inquiry had been conducted and that no one had accepted responsibility for the alleged lapses.

Calls for accountability

The leaders alleged that repeated paper leaks had shattered the aspirations of students and job seekers, particularly those preparing for competitive examinations under difficult economic circumstances. They urged the government to address the issue instead of politicising protests and called for transparent investigations and accountability.

Appeal to students

The association appealed to students, youth and civil society to rise above political affiliations and support movements aimed at protecting education, employment and the future of young people. It urged voluntary participation in the July 24 bandh.

The leaders also condemned the alleged use of force against protesting students, including reported incidents of assault on women students, and demanded action against those responsible.
