NEET Paper Leak Crisis 2026 Sparks Massive Student Anger in Andhra Pradesh
By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: Proddatur Congress Party In-charge Irfan Basha on Tuesday strongly condemned the alleged NEET examination paper leak, accusing the Central and State governments of failing to safeguard the future of millions of students. He said repeated irregularities in one of India’s most crucial entrance examinations have pushed students and parents into anxiety, uncertainty, and emotional distress.
Students’ years of hard work are being destroyed NEET
Addressing the issue, Irfan Basha said lakhs of students across the country dedicate several years to rigorous preparation for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), often undergoing intensive coaching with the dream of securing admission into medical colleges.
He noted that repeated paper leak allegations and the cancellation or controversy surrounding examinations have shattered the confidence of students who worked tirelessly for their future.
According to him, the emotional impact on students is severe, as many aspirants experience fear, stress, depression, and uncertainty after such incidents emerge immediately following the examinations.

“Parents are spending their blood and sweat”
Irfan Basha said parents invest their lifetime savings and hard-earned income to educate their children and help them pursue medical careers.
He observed that families from middle-class and economically weaker sections often make enormous sacrifices for coaching fees, hostel expenses, books, and travel, hoping their children will achieve stability and success through education.
“The news of paper leaks comes as a bolt from the blue for students and parents who believed their hard work would be rewarded fairly,” he said.
“Repeated leaks reflect government failure”
The Congress leader alleged that similar irregularities and controversies linked to NEET surfaced in previous years, including 2019, 2021, and 2024, yet effective preventive measures were not implemented.
He stated that the recurrence of such incidents reflects a complete administrative failure and raises serious concerns over the credibility and transparency of the country’s most important medical entrance examination.
“It is deeply shameful that authorities are unable to conduct even the nation’s most critical examinations without controversy,” he remarked.
Demand for transparency and strong security measures
Irfan Basha demanded strict action against those involved in examination malpractice and called for foolproof security mechanisms in the conduct of competitive examinations.
He urged authorities to ensure complete transparency, accountability, and technological safeguards to prevent future leaks and protect the interests of genuine aspirants.
He further warned that attempts to “play with the future of students” would not be tolerated and said the Congress Party would continue to raise its voice on behalf of affected students and parents.
Growing concerns over competitive examination integrity
The controversy surrounding NEET has once again reignited national debate over examination security and institutional accountability. Educational experts and student groups have repeatedly stressed that recurring leaks and irregularities undermine merit, damage trust in public institutions, and place immense psychological pressure on aspirants.
Many students spend years preparing for highly competitive entrance examinations, making fairness and transparency essential to maintaining confidence in the education system.
Congress assures support to students
Reiterating the party’s stand, Irfan Basha assured students and their families that the Congress Party would stand with them during difficult times and continue demanding justice, fairness, and accountability in the examination system.
