Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: In a meeting with the newly appointed Vice Chancellor Bellamkonda Rajasekhar on Tuesday, RSF State President DM Obulesu Yadav urged for the comprehensive development of Yogi Vemana University (YVU), calling for completion of pending projects and the introduction of new academic courses.
RSF presents pamphlet on YVU’s development goals
Obulesu Yadav, along with district leaders, met the Vice Chancellor at his chamber and presented a pamphlet outlining the student organization’s vision for the university’s development. He also felicitated the VC with a shawl and a sapling, expressing hopes that YVU would emerge as one of the leading universities under his leadership.
Appeal to complete pending infrastructure projects
Obulesu Yadav emphasized that YVU’s growth had not met expectations despite its achievements in research and teaching. He called upon the VC to ensure the completion of long-stalled construction works, including the main administrative building, management block, hospital, and the perimeter wall surrounding the 700-acre campus.
He further pointed out that, according to YVU’s Detailed Project Report (DPR), several key constructions—such as the VC’s bungalow (Rs 2.5 crore), Registrar’s bungalow (Rs 1.5 crore), teaching and non-teaching staff residential complexes, and indoor and open auditoriums—had been delayed due to official and governmental negligence.
Demand for new academic courses
The RSF delegation urged the VC to take steps toward establishing new programs in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, law, and B.Ed. disciplines. They stressed that expanding course offerings would help YVU attract more students and improve its academic profile.
RSF pledges support for university’s progress
Reaffirming RSF’s commitment to the university’s development, Obulesu Yadav stated that the organization would continue to advocate for necessary reforms and facilities. RSF District President Shiva and Vice President Sudarshan Reddy were also present during the meeting.
