RCP warns against dismissal of long-serving RIMS workers

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: The Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) has strongly opposed the reported plan by a private company to dismiss sanitation and security workers at RIMS, warning that removing employees who have served for over two decades violates labour laws.
RCP stands with RIMS workers
At a meeting held with the workers on Monday, RCP State General Secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy assured that the party would not tolerate any illegal dismissals and would stand firmly with the affected workers.
Concerns over wages and benefits
He alleged that many workers at RIMS are not being paid as per labour laws, facing irregular salaries and irregularities in ESI and PF deductions. He demanded that all workers be paid equal wages for equal work and that their legal entitlements be made transparent.
Contractors accused of negligence
Reddy criticized the contractors for prioritizing profits over worker welfare, stating that while contractors are responsible for ensuring quality work and timely payment, they are “earning crores without regard for the labourers’ rights.”
Commitment to workers’ rights
He reaffirmed that the RCP will support workers facing injustice and continue to fight for their rights and fair treatment under labor laws.
