Union Minister promises support for distributing Constitution to households

New Delhi: On Monday, Dasari Chennakesavulu, AP President of Republican Party of India, met with Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Muralidhar Mahol at Atal Akshaya Ujjara Bhavan, New Delhi. During the meeting, Chennakesavulu proposed an initiative to distribute the Constitution of India to every household to promote awareness of citizens’ rights.
The Union Minister responded positively, stating that if the Constitution is translated into local languages and state government guidelines are followed, the Centre will fully cooperate. He also assured that steps would be taken to distribute copies of the Constitution in local languages across all states.
Assurances on Andhra Pradesh classification issues
Chennakesavulu also briefed the Union Minister on the ongoing classification issues in Andhra Pradesh. Mahol assured that he would take up the matter with the Union Home Ministry and arrange a meeting with the Union Home Minister soon to discuss potential solutions.
Promoting constitutional awareness
The initiative to distribute the Constitution aims to empower citizens with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, fostering a more informed and active electorate. Mahol’s assurances reflect a commitment to addressing both national awareness initiatives and state-specific concerns.
