The Supreme Court (SC) Recently Announced the Opening of the portal “SuSwagatam,” which would allow attorneys, visitors, interns, and others to register online and obtain electronic permits to enter the Supreme Court.
About the portal
. SuSwagatam is an initiative by the Supreme Court of India to Facilitate the common man’s smooth and simple process of getting an e-pass to attend and listen to the proceedings.
. The portal underwent testing as a pilot project in July 2023 and received favourable feedback from its users.
. Users can request e-passes using this web-based and mobile-friendly tool for a variety of reasons, including attending court proceedings and meeting with advocates
The new digital system will enable advocate, visitors, interns and all those who need to visit the SC to register online and acquire e-passes to enter the court. The CJI Chandrachud announced about the new digital facility in presence of a five-judge bench hearing he matter related to abrogation of Article 370 of the constitution.
