Jobs, Development Top Agenda as Ukku Praveen Reddy Meets Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

Kadapa, AP: Emphasizing employment generation for youth and the accelerated development of Proddatur, TDP leader Dr. G. Veera Praveen Reddy met Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat on Thursday and submitted a series of representations seeking government intervention on key regional issues. His requests included expediting the Kadapa Steel Plant project, reopening the Proddatur Milk Centre, clearing municipal dues, completing the town’s vegetable market, and addressing concerns over a recent death threat letter he received.
Kadapa Steel Plant crucial for employment opportunities
Highlighting the growing need for employment in Rayalaseema, Dr. Praveen Reddy urged the Chief Minister to expedite the establishment of the Kadapa Steel Plant. He said the long-pending project holds the potential to create substantial employment opportunities for unemployed youth across the region and fulfill the aspirations of thousands of job seekers awaiting industrial growth.
₹35 crore sought for reopening proddatur milk factory
Dr. Praveen Reddy requested the government to sanction ₹35 crore required for the revival of the Proddatur milk factory. He stressed that the reopening of the facility would not only benefit dairy farmers but also generate direct and indirect employment opportunities while strengthening the local economy.
Appeal for utilisation of municipal dues for town development
Seeking enhanced civic infrastructure, he urged the Chief Minister to ensure the speedy recovery of outstanding dues owed to the Proddatur municipality. He requested that the recovered funds be earmarked for various developmental works aimed at improving public amenities and urban infrastructure in the town.
Funds requested for completion of vegetable market
The TDP leader also appealed for the allocation of funds to complete the long-pending vegetable market at Shivalayam Centre. He stated that the project would provide better facilities for farmers, traders, and consumers while contributing to the overall commercial development of Proddatur.
Life-threat complaint brought to Chief Minister’s notice
During the meeting, Dr. Praveen Reddy also informed the Chief Minister about a recent life-threat letter he had received. He submitted a representation seeking appropriate action and intervention regarding the matter.
Focus on employment and regional growth
The meeting largely centered on issues relating to youth employment, industrial development, civic infrastructure, and economic growth. Dr. Praveen Reddy expressed hope that the government would take early action on the proposals, particularly those aimed at creating jobs and accelerating development in Proddatur and the wider Rayalaseema region.
