Chandra – Andhra Pradesh: In a significant step towards promoting self-employment, MLA Pulivarthi Nani inaugurated a free jute bag weaving training center in Naravaripalli village, Chandragiri mandal, on Thursday. This initiative, supported by the state government and Union Bank, aims to empower women by providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Inauguration Ceremony at Naravaripalli
MLA Pulivarthi Nani, along with District Collector Dr. Venkateswar, inaugurated the training center by cutting the ribbon and lighting the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, Nani emphasized that the initiative aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to foster self-employment opportunities in rural areas.
He explained that Naravaripalli village was selected as a pilot project to provide self-employment opportunities to women in villages between Rangampet and Bhimavaram.
Government support and commitments
Highlighting government support, MLA Nani assured the participants that the government would purchase the jute bags produced at the center at fair prices. This commitment ensures a secure market for the products and a steady income for the women involved.

Nani criticized the lack of employment opportunities provided by previous rulers over the last five years. He emphasized that the coalition government is determined to create sustainable employment opportunities for women and youth across the state.
Collaboration with Union Bank and local leaders
The initiative has been made possible with the support of Union Bank, whose officials were present at the event. Leaders and activists from coalition parties, along with members of the self-employment training center, warmly welcomed MLA Nani and expressed their gratitude for this progressive step.
Community participation
The event saw enthusiastic participation from self-employed women, Union Bank staff, officials, and local activists. This collective effort is expected to transform Naravaripalli into a hub for jute bag production, setting an example for similar initiatives in other regions.
