INSIGHT to Organise Nasha Mukti Awareness Programme in Ranchi, Jharkhand
INSIGHT proposes a one-day Nasha Mukti Awareness Programme in Ranchi, Jharkhand, to educate youth, families and community members about substance misuse, prevention, and the importance of professional support and compassionate care.

Ranchi,Area Correspondent: The Indian Social Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT) has proposed a one-day Nasha Mukti (De-Addiction) Awareness Programme in Ranchi, Jharkhand, with the aim of raising awareness about substance misuse and encouraging healthier, safer communities.
The proposed programme is designed to engage community members, young people and families in discussions about the health and social consequences of substance misuse. It will focus on prevention, early support, and the importance of seeking professional assistance when dealing with addiction-related concerns.
As part of the planned activities, INSIGHT intends to conduct a community awareness session, share educational information about substance misuse and its potential warning signs, and provide participants with guidance on approaching qualified healthcare professionals and recognised de-addiction services. The programme will also offer participants an opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns in a respectful, supportive environment.
The initiative aims to promote understanding and reduce the stigma often associated with addiction. INSIGHT believes that affected individuals and their families should receive empathy, encouragement and appropriate guidance rather than discrimination or blame.
It is intended to be coordinated by the organisation’s team and volunteers in Ranchi. The proposed activities will be educational in nature and will encourage participants to seek qualified medical advice whenever necessary.
INSIGHT works across several areas of social welfare, including child welfare, support for older persons, women’s development, animal welfare and assistance for underprivileged communities. Through initiatives such as this proposed awareness programme, the organisation aims to encourage informed decision-making and strengthen community participation in social welfare.
The programme’s expected outcomes include improved awareness of substance misuse, greater understanding of the importance of professional support, and a more compassionate approach towards people affected by addiction.
