RSF seeks probe into alleged irregularities in aided postings

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: RSF has demanded a thorough probe into alleged irregularities in aided teacher appointments by the Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) management across Kadapa district, urging that criminal cases be filed against those responsible.

Protest at DEO office

On Thursday, RSF activists staged a protest at the District Educational Officer’s office (DEO) in Kadapa, raising concerns over alleged violations in the filling of aided posts. A petition was also submitted to District Educational Officer Shamsuddin, seeking immediate action.

Allegations of misuse of government permissions

RSF State President DM Obulesu Yadav alleged that the RCM management filled aided teacher posts last year without adhering to government-mandated roster points. Despite directives from the Regional Joint Director (RJD) and DEO, the management allegedly altered roster allocations and reassigned posts across schools and mandals at their discretion.

According to Yadav, positions sanctioned for schools in areas like Kanigiri and Maidukuru mandal were instead diverted to St. Joseph School in Kadapa. He claimed that such practices amounted to harassment of eligible candidates and violation of government norms.

Collusion and salary irregularities

The student leaders further alleged collusion between RCM management and some Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) in Kadapa, Maidukuru, and Porumamilla. They accused the management of diverting sanctioned posts, misusing treasury approvals, and siphoning salaries in violation of regulations.

RSF demanded that the government conduct a thorough investigation, register criminal cases against the management, and ensure accountability. “If the authorities fail to act, we will continue our agitation until justice is delivered,” Obulesu Yadav said.

RSF leaders and activists including Sai, Harish Kumar, Noor Basha, Islam, Sai Chandu, and Suhail Khan participated in the agitation.
