Rajupalem – Andhra Pradesh: A minor road rage incident escalated into a fatal attack in Parlapadu village of Rajupalem Mandal, Kadapa district, leading to the murder of a 21-year-old youth. Police have arrested three accused, terming the incident a premeditated act, highlighting how unchecked anger can lead to irreversible consequences.
Incident turns fatal in Parlapadu
A tragic incident unfolded on the 10th of this month in Parlapadu village under Rajupalem Mandal in the Proddatur constituency, where Bangi Mahesh Babu (21) lost his life following a violent altercation.
The dispute began when Bangi Purushottam objected to the rash driving of Bangi Charan, who was reportedly riding his vehicle at high speed. What started as a verbal warning soon escalated into a confrontation on the same day.
Assault and fatal attack
According to police, Bangi Charan, along with his family members Bangi Suresh and Bangi Devamma, attacked Purushottam with sticks during the altercation.
When Purushottam’s younger son, Mahesh Babu, intervened to defuse the situation, he was brutally stabbed in the neck by the accused, leading to his death.
Police investigation and arrests
Additional Superintendent of Police Vibhu Krishna, addressing the media, stated that the murder was not merely spontaneous but part of a premeditated conspiracy. A case has been registered accordingly.
The accused were apprehended while attempting to approach the court for bail. Acting on intelligence, police teams intercepted and arrested them near a culvert between Parlapadu and Chinnasettipalli.
Officials Commended for Swift Action
The ASP appreciated the efforts of Rural Circle Inspector Nagabhushan, Rajupalem Sub-Inspector Pranay Kumar Reddy, and Proddatur Rural SI Srikanth for their prompt and coordinated action in solving the case.
When anger turns destructive
This incident stands as a stark reminder of how momentary anger and impulsive reactions can spiral into life-altering tragedies. What began as a simple caution about safe driving ended in the loss of a young life, leaving a family shattered.
ASP stresses that conflicts arising in moments of rage, if not handled with restraint and wisdom, can lead to consequences that cannot be undone. This case underscores the urgent need for emotional control and responsible behavior in public interactions.
