RIMS sanitation workers await two months’ pending wages
By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Trade Union City Secretary Madagalam Prasad submitted a petition to the RIMS Resident Medical Officer on Thursday, urging immediate payment of salaries pending for two months.
Workers facing severe hardships
Prasad said sanitation workers, who support their families on daily wages, are struggling to meet basic expenses. House rent, DWCRA payments, children’s education costs, electricity bills, and essential household needs have all come to a halt. Even daily travel expenses to reach duty have become difficult, he added.
Delay blamed on contractors
He criticised the contractors who secured high-value tenders for failing to pay workers on time, despite the nature of their essential duties. He demanded immediate release of salaries.
RIMS assures quick resolution
The RMO informed that discussions with the contractor had already been held and assured that the pending salaries would be cleared within a day or two.
