Rashtriya Praja Congress Chief seeks public apology over Pawan Kalyan’s remarks

Rajahmundry – Andhra Pradesh: Rashtriya Praja Congress Founding President Meda Srinivas has demanded a public apology on behalf of Andhra Pradesh for comments made by Pawan Kalyan at a recent Konaseema event. He also criticised a media representative who questioned actor Shubhalekha Sudhakar at Ravindra Bharathi, saying such remarks undermine responsibility and provoke unnecessary regional tension.

Warning against regional polarisation

Srinivas cautioned that attempts to provoke regional hysteria—whether by taking political leaders as examples or turning such sentiment into a livelihood—pose long-term risks. He alleged that the lack of unity among Telugu-speaking states was enabling national political forces to exploit divisions.

Appeal for Telugu unity

He urged intellectuals, students, and youth in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to work together to strengthen harmony and protect the region’s development and security interests. He warned that failure to take collective action could result in setbacks for both states.

Focus on development and cooperation

Srinivas stressed that people should prioritise development over divisive rhetoric and asserted that unity between the two Telugu states would enhance their influence at the national level. He called on students of Osmania and Andhra Universities to take the lead in building a cooperative framework, adding that his organisation would support such efforts.
