RSF demands clarity on Kadapa steel plant and stalled projects
By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, RSF State President DM Obulesu Yadav questioned the prolonged delay in establishing the long-promised Kadapa Steel Industry and urged the state government to act decisively on several stalled developmental projects crucial for the district’s progress.
Kadapa steel plant delays spark fresh questions
Obulesu Yadav said that promises on the Kadapa steel industry—vital for the region’s industrial growth—have remained unfulfilled for decades. He stated that despite repeated assurances, the project never moved beyond political rhetoric. “If local educated youth are to secure employment, the steel industry must become a reality,” he asserted.
Demand for immediate government guarantees
Yadav demanded concrete assurances from the state government, stressing that sincerity, not symbolic statements or grand gestures, was needed to begin construction. He urged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to provide a time-bound commitment for the steel plant establishment.
Stalled Yogi Vemana University works need funding
Highlighting the halted infrastructure works at Yogi Vemana University, Yadav called for an immediate allocation of Rs 100 crore. The funds, he said, must be directed toward completing unfinished buildings and essential facilities such as:
Open auditorium
Vice Chancellor and Registrar residences
Staff quarters
Boundary wall
He emphasized that these projects have remained incomplete since the university’s establishment.
Kadapa–Bengaluru railway line left half-built
Yadav criticized the decades-long delay in completing the Kadapa–Bengaluru railway line. He noted that the track currently extends only up to Pendlimarri and insisted that completing the remaining stretch to Bengaluru would significantly boost the region’s development and connectivity. He appealed to the Chief Minister for urgent intervention.
RSF leaders Vamsi, Sai, Keshava, and others participated in the press meet.
