RCP demands action against Icon Villas builder for irregularities

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: The Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) on Monday demanded strict action against Icon Villas builder Raja Singh, alleging large-scale fraud, unauthorized constructions, and violations of government regulations. A complaint was formally submitted to the District Collector and Municipal Commissioner during a grievance meeting.

Allegations of cheating homeowners

RCP State General Secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy said the contractor misled villa buyers by showing facilities only on paper while failing to provide even basic amenities. He alleged that crores of rupees were embezzled through arbitrary layouts and false promises.

Violations of land and construction rules

Reddy charged that construction was carried out despite the presence of government lands in the area, including crop irrigation canals and endowment property. He said many houses were built without permits, with political support from leaders in power at the time.

Call for committee-led probe

The RCP demanded that a committee under the Collector’s chairmanship be formed to probe the irregularities. “We will continue our fight until the truth comes out and justice is done,” Reddy declared.

Authorities respond to complaint

The Collector and Municipal Commissioner assured that irregularities in Icon Villas would be examined thoroughly. They noted that unauthorized constructions had already been canceled and promised a detailed investigation into roads and other facilities not built as per government norms.

RTU State Secretary Siddaramaiah, RCP City Secretary Maqbul Bhasha, City Committee Member Madagalam Prasad, and leaders Vijay Kumar and others joined the protest, backing the demand for immediate action.
