CPM condemns brutal attack on student in Konaseema

Amalapuram – Andhra Pradesh: The CPM Konaseema District Committee has strongly condemned the violent attack on 16-year-old student Gurram Vincent Prasad, a Class 10 pupil from Shankaraguptam village, who was beaten with an iron box by fellow students in a corporate college.
Negligence of college management alleged
CPM District Convener Kaarem Venkateswara Rao accused the Sri Chaitanya college management of negligence and demanded that the government hold it accountable for failing to prevent such violence on campus.
Demand for proper medical treatment
The student, currently undergoing treatment at Rajolu Government Hospital, requires better medical care, the CPM leaders said, urging immediate intervention to ensure his speedy recovery.
Call for action against ragging
The party demanded strict measures to curb ragging in corporate colleges, along with stringent legal action against those directly involved in the assault and against the irresponsible college management.
CPM leaders visit victim
CPM local leaders visited the injured student at the hospital and CH Suryaprakash Rao, Peethala Ramachandra Rao, Thadu Sriram Murthy, and Bunga Satyanarayana issued a statment expressing solidarity with his family.
