By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Yemmiganur – Kurnool: The All India Kisan Mazdoor Sangh (AIKMS) released pamphlets of national convocations at the MPDO office in Yemmiganur on Wednesday, urging farmers and laborers to participate in its third national convocations, scheduled for March 21-23, 2025, in Nanded, Maharashtra.
Call for farmers’ participation
AIKMS District Secretary M Satyanna appealed to agricultural workers and tenant farmers to join the upcoming national convocations and strengthen the movement for farmers’ rights.
Criticism of Modi government’s policies
Satyanna accused the Modi government of favoring corporate giants like Adani and Ambani while neglecting farmers. He recalled the 2020 protests against the farm laws, which led to the death of 750 farmers and forced their repeal. He warned that after securing a third term, the government is now pushing digital agriculture policies that threaten farmers’ livelihoods.
State government failing farmers
Satyanna also criticized the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition in Andhra Pradesh, alleging that it has failed to deliver the Rs 20,000 promised under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme.
AIKMS leaders demanded a minimum support price (MSP) law based on Somnath Commission recommendations and called for the redistribution of surplus, barren, and forest lands to Dalits, Adivasis, and landless laborers.
IFTU district leaders Balaraju and Babu, along with AIKMS leaders Rajanna, Bojjappa, Devaram, Venkatesh, Vijay, Anand, Jaipal, David, and Dastagiri, attended the event, emphasizing the need for mass mobilization.
The event signals AIKMS’s continued push for agrarian reforms and farmer empowerment amid growing dissatisfaction with government policies.
